Bather Load Monitor System
The Bather Load Monitor (BLM) from Suntrap Systems is an extremely useful tool to help management and operators of swimming pools comply with the regulations regarding bathing loads as issued by the HSE.
The Bather Load Monitor will display the total number of swimmers active in the pool hall at any time of the day. Each swimmer is allocated a coloured wristband at the point of sale time, an illuminated beacon with an audio alert located in the pool hall alerts swimmers that the current swim session is ending and they must leave the pool.
- For normal automated use the BLM divides each hour into 3 to 5 sections called windows, each of these windows is assigned a colour. The operator selects the start colour at the beginning of swimming session and issues a start coloured wristband to each swimmer, the operator then presses the “SALE” button on the BLM (once for each swimmer).
- When a time window expires, the operator will be alerted to use the next colour and issue the correct coloured wristband. At the expiry of the time window its colour will be displayed in the pool hall, swimmers are attracted to the display by a unique audio alert tone which informs the swimmer that their session is ended.
- The current bather load total will be automatically adjusted to allow for swimmers who have left the pool. The operator will be alerted if the maximum bather load is reached and will halt sales until the longest time window expires.
- The operator can manually recall any or all of the current swimming sessions that are active.
- The BLM not only shows the current bather load but will also display the current swimmers in each time window that are still in a swimming session.
- All parameters including setting the number of time windows and maximum bather load are easily programmed into the System.
Each master BLM control unit has a point of sale button; up to 4 slave units may be added for multiple sales operators. If there are multiple pool halls, each BLM Control Unit can accommodate up to 4 display beacons.
